The formation of this company, along with technical and statistical support of a major US carrier, has resulted in a product that successfully addresses the bearing failure problem. In less than 3 years, the concept has been developed, tested and certified for flight. With over with over 3,000,000 flight hours accumulated on commercial flights as of June 2007, thirty eight high run time fans had been successfully detected and removed from aircraft with failed bearings prior to fan rotor to housing contact avoiding smoke events and drastically reducing the fans repair and return to service time and cost. No false shut downs have been reported to properly installed monitors!
